"Wemaynotbeabletoeliminatealltheharshconsequencesofglobalization.Butwecancommunicatemoreandtravelmoreandtrademoreinawaythatliftsthelivesofordinaryworkingfamilieseverywhereandthequalityofourglobalenvironment.

"Wemaynotbeabletoeliminateallthefailuresofgovernmentandinternationalinstitutions.Butwecancertainlystrengthendemocracysoallchildrenarepreparedforthe21stcenturyworldandprotectedfromitsharshestsideeffects.

"Andwecandosomuchmoretoworktogether,tocooperateamongourselves,toseizetheproblemsandtheopportunitiesofthisever-smallplanetweallcallhome.

"Inshort,ifwewantthestoryofthe21stcenturytobethetriumphofpeaceandharmony,wemustembraceourcommonhumanityandourshareddestiny.
